A growing environmental disaster

I read the magazine article about a growing environmental disaster.

I could figure out the pipe which is under the sea(Gulf of Mexico) have been broken for reason that I don't know. Therefore, engineers are trying to cap the gushing oil spill. However, Obama and the BP which made the pipe that has been broken think they need to find a way to get oil from that pipe not only cap the oil spill because people live near there need oil to live their life. They need it for transportation, factories..etc, actually in everything. Of course, they need to concentrate on environment first, however, Obama is a person who has to take care of so many people, I think that is the reason why he is in a dilemma now.

In Korea, there was a similar accident happened about 3 years ago. The accident happened in the west coast of Korea. One from the Hongkong ship and ship, actually it was an oil tanker, called 'Samsung 1' were bumped against each other and result from this, there was a oil spill. A large quantity of crude oil has spilled into the sea from the shipwrecked tanker. The total amount was 12,547kiloliter. Also, there was a problem of wireless radio, therefore, the response of this accident was not that fast enough to cover it. About 1 million people participated in cleaning up the rocks near the sea and beach as volunteers. I did it too. I followed my dad, because his company volunteered. Actually many companies and schools or individuals volunteered to save our nation. Actually for another local, because people who live near where the accident happened earn money from tours and restaurants sell cooked fish or sushi, therefore, seriously they needed help or they could lose their jobs.

it would take few years to clean whole things up, however, it's getting better.

If you think the environment is in danger, you should do something for environment, like I did when tragic accident happened in my country.
